“Towards Digital Transition in Solar Chemistry (SolarChem 5.0)”

SolarChem 5.0 is a research initiative aimed at advancing solar chemical technologies to enable sustainable and scalable energy transformation and storage. The project is structured into four subprojects: (1) development of automated methodologies for designing efficient hybrid photoelectrodes, (2) engineering selective enzyme-based catalysts for chemical production, (3) designing a solar photoelectrochemical reactor, and (4) integrating machine learning and open science for optimizing solar chemistry processes. By leveraging interdisciplinary expertise in chemistry, materials science, artificial intelligence, and advanced characterization techniques, SolarChem 5.0 seeks to bridge the gap between ecological and digital transitions. The ultimate goal is to develop innovative, low-cost, and high-performance solar-driven technologies for converting earth-abundant resources and pollutants into fuels and valuable chemicals.
